The Isabella Bird tent offers and tranquil riverside camping escape.

A premium, generously sized luxury safari tent is set on the banks of the Snowy River, offering a tranquil riverside escape, perfect for the solo traveller or two people. Sorry we do not accommodate children or pets.

The tent measures 5m x 5m and features a four-poster queen bed dressed in hotel-quality linen, with bath and swimming towels provided. Inside, you’ll find a well-appointed kitchenette, coffee machine and fridge for added comfort and convenience.

Step out onto your private verandah and outdoor lounge area, complete with an esky, gas patio heater, pizza oven and a fire pit stocked with firewood—perfect for relaxed evenings under the stars.

Guests also enjoy a private bathroom with a shower, outdoor bathtub, and a waterless composting toilet, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in nature without sacrificing comfort.

While this is the only tent in this space, the river itself is a shared access area. An all-weather lounge area by the river offers the perfect spot to relax, unwind and take in the surroundings.

From $320 per night

Parking and access to the property

  • Free parking on premises

  • Access to the property is on 3kms of private dirt road; livestock, kangaroos, deer and wildlife regularly share this road. The road is 2WD accessible to the bulk of the property but the last 150m to the Isabella Bird Tent which is located on the river is a little rough and a 4WD/AWD is recommended

The River is a shared space

  • There is an all weather lounge and dining area in this space for you to relax by the water

  • You can swim in the river and kayaks and airmats are provided for use on the property also. We do ask people not to fish in this section of the river as there are platypus, and the water is shallow in spots - lost lures in bare feet is a quick way to ruin a day. But you are welcome to walk up and downstream to find more fishing holes.

What our guests have to say......

Staying at Nonie"s Airbnb was just amazing! It was secluded with plenty of beautiful wildlife to wake up to. Chatting with Nonie was fun and easy and she even let us know what events were happening in town that night. I chose this place so I could propose to my partner and its certainly a place we will never forget. We will certainly be back again. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay to get away from the city. Definitely reminds you to get out and just relax and enjoy time off screens and enjoy the nature. Loved every moment from the time we got there, to relaxing in the baths to listening to the rain on the tent roof. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone who wants to get away and just relax.

What a perfect little spot to relax, recover, and enjoy some peace and quiet! We felt immediately at home and had everything we needed to rest. The outdoor baths were AMAZING. If you’re looking for some time to yourself or somewhere to launch from for activities, don’t look past this cozy spot.
